Our Company

Thermowand Technologies, Inc., is a Delaware registered corporation formed on June 26th, 2021, to facilitate fund raising for our innovative thermometer.

Initial research and human testing to improve infrared thermometer sensors was completed in 2018 when the inventor completed his doctoral studies showing a 1.45% improvement for human temperature readings. Dr. Johnson was granted a Doctor of Professional Studies (DPS Pace University) in 2019. On December 10, 2019, the company was awarded US Patent #10502629B2 which recognizes the IP the inventor developed to include social distancing practices between health care workers and patients, especially needed during pandemics.

In the spring of 2020, development of an advanced prototype model with camera was completed. Two real-world human trials were conducted under Pace University IRB oversight during Dr. Johnson’s dissertation studies leading to this patent.

In the summer 2020, testing of the effect of ambient air was conducted by the inventor at the Rochester Institute of Technology, improving the sensor reliability over an ambient temperature range of 60° to 90° F. The thermometer now detects skin surface temperatures (SST) and a scientific-based core temperature (CT). It was awarded a second US Patent (#11209316) in 2021 for the later development. This patent will make our thermometer a disruptive force in the infrared thermometers market.

The advance version of a fully function prototype was submitted to Presco Engineering of Woodbridge, CT., to evaluate its commercial development in the spring of 2021. By June of 2021, Thermowand Technologies, Inc was formed.  in 2023, we listed our company on www.gust.com.
